iClickCare and Joint Motion Detector are two apps exploring the boundaries of mobile diagnosis in health care.
By Lisa Nadile

These two apps are examples how mobile remote diagnostics are possible using smartphones. iClickCare for iOS garnered a lot of press when the New York Times wrote about it and then Steve Wosniak (co-founder of Apple, Inc. with Steve Jobs) picked it up and talked about it at his keynote at the American Telemedicine Association’s 2012 conference.

I chose Joint Motion Detector for Android because it’s fun and uses the smartphone as an actual physical medical device for diagnosis.

Learn more about both apps in our sideshow above.
