BenQ is making its new short-throw projectors something truly special.
First of all, the new LX60ST and LW61ST are the first short-throw units to feature the company’s blue core light engine. Instead of a traditional mercury lamp, the blue core promises exceptional brightness and 90 percent less power consumption.
Besides 20,000 hours of that brightness, both the LX60ST and LW61ST boast an 80,000:1 contrast ratio, instant on/off features, and a “SmartEco Advanced” mode.
“These projectors have short throw lenses on them allowing a 6-foot-wide image from only three feet away which makes them ideal for educational use on white boards, entertainment at home, in a sports bar setting, or for corporate training,” said Rodney Laney, AVI-SPL’s VP of display technology. “They’re perfect for any environment where the presenter needs to be close to the image without creating a shadow that hinders the presentation.”
Also, these two projectors can’t be found just anywhere. The LX60ST and LW61ST are available exclusively through AVI-SPL and Projector People—at least through the end of April 2012.
