People rarely think about the behind the scenes production that takes place at events, such as a major trade show.
During the recently completed Consumer Electronics Show (CES) the Alabama-based manufacturer PESA provided the behind the scenes production professionals at the trade group’s flagship event with back end support so the keynote addresses could be streamed.
At the show, the company’s Cheetah 64NE (64x64) HD-SDI switch was used for the distribution of analog video, serial digital, DVB/ASI and HD-SDI/3G up to 1080p/60Hz content. The 4U-high unit offers electronics professionals the ability to hot swap matrix cards, frame controllers and power supplies. The Alabama-based company says the component can be configured to route HD-SDI Multi-rate, SDA, composite analog video or mission-critical telementry data. PESA adds the unit consumes less than 300 watts of power when fully loaded and all of its inputs feature auto equalization and auto-rate sensing to ensure picture quality.
The PESA Cheetah can be used for the distribution of analog and digital content in video wall and other streaming video environments.
