Anyone who works in A/V or IT knows that the two philosophies and their respective administrative departments do not always see eye to eye. But more and more, the two are coming together to departments are working together—even merging—in pursuit of a seamless delivery of services that increasingly overlap.

The AMX Enovation Tour stopped at the University of Florida last month, where A/V and IT specialists converged for a day-long discussion of all things related to campus AV/IT service delivery. Topics ranged from faculty technology training to creating user-friendly interfaces and BYOT-friendly environments and much more, including the frequently competing goals and responsibilities that A/V and IT departments play when it comes to designing and building new facilities on campus.
